The Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) will host the University’s 11th annual ICT Conference on 3rd and 4th September. The theme of this year’s conference is “ICT Trends: Progress towards an Information Society”.
The Master of Applied Philosophy and Ethics (MAPE) classes began on Monday, 30th August with Dr Kevin O'Reilly lecturing ‘Logic and Language’. Dr O'Reilly will lecture ‘History of Thought during the Greek and Roman’ era next week.
The Institute of Humanities, Education and Development Studies (IHEDS) held a seminar dubbed the ‘Art of Leadership’ for principals of high schools from 23rd to 26th August.
A true spirit of competitiveness was evident in this year’s Sports Day held on 20th August at Nairobi Railway Club. Bike races were introduced in the annual event for the first time.
Mr Mark Gold, the Deputy President of ACCA visited the University on 19th August. Mr Gold who will become the president of the global body next month said his visit to Kenya was a childhood dream come true.
A team from Strathmore Governance Centre (SGC) attended the 2nd East Africa Community (EAC) conference on promoting good governance in regional integration held at the Hilton Hotel on 19th and 20th August.
