Certified Secretaries (CS) is aimed at persons who wish to qualify and work or practice as corporate secretaries, policy formulators and consultants in governance, governance and compliance auditors and administrators at county and national levels and in private sectors. The course has three (3) levels: Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced

Why CS?

The Kenyan law requires all registered companies to employ a Certified Secretary. The CS qualification empowers the Certified Secretary:
1. To ensure that the company stays in compliance with the statutory and compliance requirements.
2. To execute all the solutions, changes, and decisions put across by the Board of Directors.
3. To ensure that all company decisions are executed according to the laws of the land and regulations that guide the company/industry.

Entry criteria

• A Bachelors degree from a recognized university or diplomas as may be approved by the Board of KASNEB
• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination with an aggregate average of at least a grade C plus (C+) provided that you have obtained a minimum of a grade C plus (C+) in both Mathematics and English.
• Kenya Advanced of Education (KACE) with at least TWO Principal passes provided that the applicant has credits in
• Education (KCE) level.
• IGCSE 6 credits including English and Mathematics and GCE 3B’s
• Kenya Accounting Technicians or the Accountants Clerk National Certificate

2. Scanned copy of one (1) coloured passport size photo,
3. Scanned copy of your National ID/Passport bio page/ Birth Certificate,
4. Your updated Curriculum Vitae(CV),
5. Interview fee of Ksh. 2000 (details on making this payment will be shared upon meeting the entry requirements).
