The university men’s handball team represented the country in the East and Central Africa Handball Club Championships held in Arusha, Tanzania in December 2013.

 

The team, coached by former Kenya International and current technical advisor to the national team Mr. Peter Mwathi, played very well to finish ahead of other regional powerhouses in handball to win their first medal in the regional championship.

“I am impressed by how the team played and from here I will now start preparing for the next championships to be held in Kigali in December 2014” said Mr. Mwathi.

 

Police from DRC won Gold and Kenya Cereals Board clinched the silver.
