Strathmore University Tax Club celebrated its first anniversary on 20^th May 2017 in Machakos County.  Led by the club’s patron, Moses Nyangu, the 40 Club members marked the celebration by visiting School of Angels-Sofia where they participated for a one day tax awareness campaign.

The event which was graced by KRA officials, birthed a fruitful interactive session between the officials, tax club members and the students. The students were mentored by the KRA officials and the Tax Club members on both academic and non-academic issues. The students also participated in football and volleyball matches.

As a way of giving back to the community, the club members donated geometrical sets to the top students, eight sets of English and Kiswahili set books, sanitary towels to all the girls in the school and pencils branded with the club logo.

We acknowledge the students who made monetary and non-monetary donations towards the activity and for being good Strathmore University ambassadors during the event, the dean of students’ office, our club patron Mr. Moses Nyangu and the KRA Tax Education department for their continued support to the club.
