Strathmore University Tax Club Attend Tax-Training Forum

Strathmore University Tax Club attended a Tax-Training Forum at the Kenya Revenue Authority’s office (KRA).
The students discussed iTax Systems – registration of KRA PINs and filing of returns – Value Added Tax (VAT) and matters affecting tax collection and compliance in Kenya. This discussion allowed the newer members to acquire skills in these areas and the older ones sharpen their skills and knowledge in the field. In addition, members who attend at least two training sessions will be awarded certificates in December.
The SU Tax Club is proving to be one of the most active Clubs in the university. The Club partners with KRA, creating awareness on issues concerning tax education, tax compliance, policies and obligations among university students.
More students are encouraged to join the club and learn more about taxation and its relevance to Kenya’s economy. For more information about the Club and upcoming activities, contact taxclub@strathmore.edu
