Strathmore University International Mathematics Contest DR Congo, Bukavu

Aganze Éric Mwanza, Rehema Barhinjibanwa, Baluge Innocent Akiza, Agisha Divine Lwaboshi, Ashuza Romuald Kangwenye and Biringanine Rosine Ninawabana, were winners at the Strathmore University Mathematics Contest held in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The contest took place in the province of South-Kivu, at College Alfajiri in Bukavu City.

A total of 14 schools participated in the contest with each school presenting 10 of their best final year students to participate.

The best 3 boys and 3 girls were awarded full scholarships to study at Strathmore University.

Aganze Éric Mwanza from EDAP/ISP was the top boy and Rehema Barhinjibanwa from Lycée Cirezi was the top girl. They are each set to join Strathmore in July 2018 on a full Degree programme scholarship to study a course of their choice.

1st runners up Baluge Innocent Akiza from College Alfajiri and Agisha Divine Lwaboshi from Lycée Cirezi will study a Diploma course of their choice with a scholarship at Strathmore University. 2nd runners up Ashuza Romuald Kangwenye from College Alfajiri and Biringanine Rosine Ninawabana from Institut Tumaini will study professional Courses of their choices on full sponsorship at the University.

The best school awards went to College Alfajiri, followed by Institut Tumaini and Complexe Scolaire La Véronique.
