Strathmore University Career Day 2016

Strathmore University career day took place on March 5th 2016, an event that was largely attended by parents and potential students who had received their KCSE national examinations a few days before. The breath taking event that lasted for a whole day, saw potential students interact with industry representatives, alumni, and representatives from different schools and faculties in Strathmore.

The various faculties and the admissions department gave the students free expert advice based on the grades they had attained on the courses available and suitable for them to study. “I attained a B+ from State House Girls, and before I attended the career fair, I was clueless as to what I want to pursue as my undergraduate degree. The Career Fair was quite beneficial because now I know what I want. I will pursue a Bachelor of Degree in Informatics and Computer Science,” said Stephanie – an ex-State House Girls student.

Giving the key address, Dennis Okari, a Senior Investigative and Crime Reporter at Nation TV Kenya, motivated students to pursue their dreams at whatever cost highlighting the need for students to remain diligent in all they do. The passionate speaker, encouraged students to work hard, giving a background of where he came from and how far he has reached.
