Strathmore Tax Club volunteer to assist Kenyans file their taxes

During the just concluded 2017 iTax filling process, The Strathmore Tax Club (SUTC) in partnership with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), volunteered to help speed up the process. A total of over 40 students were trained and sent to various KRA offices across Nairobi. The fortnight-long process saw a total of over 3.2 million Kenyans successfully filling their returns.
The exercise saw the students put into practice the skills learnt during the training. They worked tirelessly, staying up until midnight just to ensure no Kenyan was left unattended. This took some perseverance and hard work.
The club through the patron, Mr. Moses Nyangu, greatly appreciates the KRA for the continued partnership with the university with the hope that more opportunities will arise especially for the recent graduands.
At the end of the exercise, the student volunteers were official recognized as KRA Tax Ambassadors through an awarding of certificates.
