Strathmore Housekeepers Visit to a Children’s Home

The boys serving lunch during the Housekeeping Department visit

Staff drawn from Strathmore Housekeeping department had a pleasant moment interacting with children from Kwetu home of peace in Ruai.

A total of 35 housekeepers arrived at the home on Saturday November 11th, where they were welcomed by a group of cheerful boys who were patiently waiting for their arrival.

Housekeepers were shortly joined by a caregiver who introduced them to the children, before giving them a tour of the home.

After the tour, the housekeepers embarked on house chores that involved mopping, sweeping, dusting surfaces, scrubbing the floor and also tending to the flower beds.

The housekeepers also taught the boys how to fold their clothes and make their beds neatly. They emphasized the importance of maintaining a high level of general hygiene.

In the afternoon, the boys were treated to lunch which had been prepared by the housekeepers.

The day culminated with entertainment: through songs, dance, acrobatics and mentorship sessions where housekeepers motivated the boys to remain steadfast and believe in themselves.
