Strathmore Chorale partners with Tuskys to give shoppers a memorable Christmas carol

On a Friday evening in December the university choir, Strathmore Chorale partnered with Tuskys Supermarket at T-mall to perform a memorable Christmas carol to the amusement and delight of the shoppers.

 

The surprise concert or as popularly known a Flashmob was kicked off by a trumpet and a saxophone rendition of the Oh Holy Night on second floor of the huge supermarket that culminated on the ground floor where the choristers- some disguised as staff of the supermarket while others as shoppers- started to perform as they sang a newly written rendition of Oh Holy Night. The rendition has the second stanza translated to Swahili and  also re-arranged to give it a soft and warmer harmony.

The choir would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy Christmas and Prosperous 2016.
