Strathmore Business School Senior Faculty Dr. Kerretts-Makau Appointed to Governing Council

Dr. Monica Kerretts-Makau, Senior faculty at Strathmore Business School was appointed as a member of the New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD)/Africa Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) Kenya Governing Council on 27thOctober 2016 for a three-year term by the Cabinet Secretary for Devolution and Planning.

 

NEPAD is a vision and strategic framework for Africa’s Renewal that emanates from a mandate given to the five initiating Heads of State (Algeria, Egypt, Nigeria, Senegal and South Africa) by the Organization of African Unity (OAU) to develop an integrated socio-economic development framework for Africa. The mandate of the APRM is to encourage participating Member States in ensuring that their policies and practices conform to the agreed political, economic and corporate governance values, codes and standards, and that mutually agreed objectives in socio-economic development contained in the New Partnership for African’s Development (NEPAD) are achieved.

 

Dr. Kerretts currently teaches in the MBA and Public Policy programs.
