The Strathmore Alumni Entrepreneurs Network (SAEN) held their first meeting on Thursday 11^th February to brainstorm on their various intentions and expectations from being a part of this new network. Hosted by Strathmore’s Alumni office, the session was attended by several Alumni and students who shared ideas on how they can enhance business networking among each other, in particular as Entrepreneurs. The attendants, mostly in the business field, included experts with advanced, growing or developing knowledge in business. These experts represented Advertising, IT, Real Estate, Green Energy, Agriculture, Motor Vehicle Industry, Security Systems among others industries.

 

 

During the brainstorming session it was clear that a majority of the alumni were looking forward to interacting with their fellow minded colleagues, through exploring referral options, obtaining student interns, learning from experienced entrepreneurs, and receiving and offering business mentorship.  

 

 

The network intends to set up a directory comprising all the members with a profile of their businesses, which will be on the SU Alumni Website. They intend to meet once a month, with the next meeting scheduled for Wednesday 9^th of March from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. The meeting will include a pitch by one of the members, and a discussion session that will be followed by breakfast networking. Attendants must RSVP the alumni office through alumni@strathmore.edu by Tuesday 8^th March at noon.
