Staff Participatory Research Training

Staff members interested in research were on Monday 23rd June, taken through a half day training on Participatory Research Methods at the Governance Centre by Dr. Samantha Balaton-Chrimes.  This was in response to an invitation sent out to all staff on behalf of the Governance Centre. About 30 staff members attended the training.  Dr. Balaton-Chrimes, lecturer in International Studies at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia, is currently affiliated to the Governance Centre under Dr. Antoinette Kankindi for her research titled “Informed consent and consultation: lessons from the slum upgrading in Kibera, Nairobi ”.
