SLS – Anjarwalla & Khanna partnership

 

Strathmore University Law School is pleased to announce the formalization of its new partnership with the leading corporate law firm in Africa, Anjarwalla and Khanna, following the MOU signing ceremony on 6th of August 2018 at Strathmore University. Present at the brief ceremony was Ms. Rosa Nduati Mutero and Mr. Daniel Ngumy, partners at Anjarwalla and Khanna & Ms. Shital Shah, the Chief Operating Officer at the law firm, while Dr. Vincent Ogutu-Vice Chancellor Designate and Dr. Luis Franceschi, Dean, Strathmore Law School represented the University.

‘As institutions, Strathmore Law School and Anjarwalla and Khanna have similar interests; to be at the heart of legal excellence, and this partnership not only cements but also furthers these objectives,’ said Dr. Franceschi at the signing ceremony.

Ms. Rosa Nduati Mutero was emphatic that the partnership between SLS and Anjarwalla & Khanna would go a long way in fostering the link between day-to-day legal practice and academia in order to achieve legal excellence in the legal sector.  She was optimistic that this linkage with the University would inspire affiliates within the Africa Legal Network to reflect the same in their jurisdictions.

The terms of the MOU allow for long-term collaboration between the practice of law and academia, to promote excellent legal services, following its first project, a Kshs. 15 million donation towards a new law school library.
