SBS Coaches Receive International Coaching Certification

Coach Development Institute of Africa awarded five Strathmore Business School (SBS) Coaches with the Certified Workplace Coaching (CWC) credential, which will enable them to champion workplace coaching agenda. The five; Angelikka Gitau, Betty Ngala, Thomas Mundia, Fina Desouza, and John Njane will be able to coach others to increase engagement and maximize performance, integrate coaching with consulting assignments, enhance service level delivery and provide external workplace coaching services to organisations.
The CWC certification has supported the coaches to meet the growing demand of coaching efficiency and capacity building witnessed in executive program participants engagement with faculty members, alumni and regional clients.
SBS offers executive coaching to program participants, which stimulates personal growth necessary to deliver business performance. In line with the business schools mission of transforming leaders through virtue, this intervention assists the program participants to develop their personal vision and uncover their priorities. It also helps them to think strategically and inspire a shared vision and mission of their organisation as well as review their leadership style.
Profile of the Coaches
Fina has spent many years teaching leadership skills and educating students to become all-round personalities. This has helped her in her present work of training and coaching both individual clients within SBS and corporate clients elsewhere to become their own best. She feels very inspired to see people grow, maximize their potential, and yield fruitful results. Kenya being the third country in Africa to have internationally certified workplace coaches (the others being, South Africa and Nigeria), she feels it is certainly a cause for celebration for Strathmore Business School to have some of the very first coaches in Africa to be recognized by a world-renowned coaching body such as the International Coach Federation.
