SBS Accredited as Members of the Chartered Institute of Development Finance

Strathmore Business School has been accredited as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Development Finance (CIDEF). This accreditation comes shortly after the launch of the inaugural class of Master of Science in Development Finance. This will enable the students of the programme to apply for individual membership at the Institute and, upon the successful completion of their programme, they will also be able to apply for the Chartered Development Finance Analyst (CDFA) membership of CIDEF.

CDFA is the highest professional membership award given to individuals who successfully complete a CIDEF Accredited Postgraduate Degree from a CIDEF member institution.

The Chartered Institute of Development Finance (CIDEF) is a professional and academic body for the development of finance specialists.

The Institute works with academic institutions, development finance institutions and other development finance support groups and maintains professionalism in development finance globally.

The Master of Science in Development Finance is designed to incorporate an analysis of both the formal and informal financial sectors, and of policies to promote financial inclusion, clients’ financial service needs, institutional design and financial reforms.
