SBS’ Partner Institution Ranked Amongst Top Ten Worldwide

Strathmore Business School’s partner institution, IESE Business School’s MBA program was ranked amongst the top ten in the world for the fourth consecutive year by the Financial Time’s 2014 rankings. IESE Business School, based in Barcelona, Spain, is the Graduate Business School of the University of Navarra.

The ranking surveyed the class of 2010’s career progress and salary increase while taking several other factors into account, including aims achieved and diversity.

Leading the pack at the rankings are Harvard, Stanford and London Business School, with Wharton in 4th place and INSEAD and Columbia in 5th and 6th place respectively. Notable was Hong Kong’s rise in the rankings whereby despite the recession, the business school graduates had seen their salary almost double since completing their MBA.

Strathmore Business School’s MBA program has been delivered in partnership with IESE Business School since 2005, which ensures a rigorous, challenging program taught by a faculty recognised as specialists in their respective fields.

The SBS MBA program has been hosting visiting faculty from IESE Business School and other top business schools, which provides a unique, rigorous and challenging program, taught by a faculty recognized as specialists in their own fields. In addition, SBS faculty is proficiently trained to deliver the case study methodology, which is central to the MBA program. MBA participants will study from a database of applied knowledge with over 130 relevant case studies, which are applicable to their careers. SBS recently introduced the Modular MBA program to serve the needs of those aspiring to pursue an MBA which allows them to physically interact with fellow participants and get insights from faculty, but cannot afford to be available 3 evenings a week, typical of the Evening MBA. The Modular MBA is delivered in two weeks, where participants learn from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm every day, over a span of two and a half years. The two-week modules are spaced evenly throughout the entire length of the program.

Each year, SBS MBA participants study in IESE Business School together with MBA participants from Lagos Business School in an international module in order to gain world-class insights and develop their global business management skills.
