Life Master Class Launch

The Life Master Class program was successfully launched on Friday 15th August; a program run by the Career Development Services (CDS) office which is designed for all 3rd and 4th year students at Strathmore.

The interactive sessions tackle professional life through film, documentaries and talks from captains in the industries.  In these sessions students are introduced to great, ideal and positive role models who talk about qualities one needs if they are to succeed especially on self-leadership skills.

In his informative speech, speaker Mark Kaigwa, an alumni of Strathmore and the founder of Nendo, a strategy & storytelling consultancy for digital Africa encouraged listeners to draw inspiration from the great works created. He added that it is important that one conquers their fears if they are to do daring things and not to be afraid of criticism. He sensitized on the fact that when one asks for comments about their work they should invite the respondent to critcize both negatively and positively.

Life master class is one of a two part program being run by the CDS office.  The second program personal development program (PDP) focuses on personal development which aims at helping students acquire skills to help them get jobs.  The 5 part course includes interview skills, writing cover letters and handling job interviews. The PDP sessions also targets 3rd and 4th year students.
