Leadership Development Academy Breaks Ground in Rwanda

Strathmore Business Schools Rwanda Leadership Development Academy (RLDA) is one of the three leadership development academies which will be making a footprint in Eastern Africa. These advancements seeking to increase and expand SBSs executive education training programs across Eastern Africa, has seen the institution spread its reach in Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania.
RLDA was launched on 8th March 2016, following the great success witnessed through the first leadership development academy in Uganda, (ULDA) which has been in existence for the past three years.
RLDAs training program will include the Senior Management Leadership Development Program, similar to the Senior Management Leadership Program (SMLP) currently being run in Kenya, the Africa CEO program which will run across Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania and The Effective Director Master class which has also been running in Tanzania and Uganda.
The Uganda Leadership Development Academy which has been largely focused on training executives in financial institutions will spread to other sectors such as telecommunication, among others.
Through a 114$ Million grant by Financial Sector Deepening Africa (FSDA) earlier this year to expand the leadership development academies to the three countries; SBS and FSDA will equip leaders in the financial sector with the capabilities to make financial services accessible to the lower-tier of income earners in the society. The leadership academies are expected to train over 1000 senior and middle level managers in the next three years.
