Invitation to the 2nd PhD Research Development Workshop
The Strathmore School of Management & Commerce is pleased to inform and invite you to the 2nd PhD Research Development workshop in April 11, 2014. The event is a follow-up of a similar one held last year in collaboration with the Africa Accounting and Finance Association and sponsored by CIMA- UK. We would greatly appreciate you coming and participation in presenting any of the following:
- PhD proposals,
- Research findings from your thesis,
- Research working or seminar papers
- Masters research findings
This effort is in response to the feedback from previous workshop’s suggestion that “such events are necessary and are needed quarterly“. Although last years workshop event was tailored to Doctoral research and debate in Accounting & Finance research, we take the liberty to invite Business management research presentations as well. Certainly they will learn and also enrich the discussions.
The workshop will focus on offering research advice, providing guidance to junior or emerging researchers in Kenyan universities and more importantly provide a platform for discussion of research ideas. It will also tackle methodologies and statistical issues as well as present an opportunity for participants to interact with senior researchers and distinguished professors.
