Graduate Teaching Assistant’s Thesis gets published in the International journal of Research in Social Sciences

A research paper titled “Factors Students in Strathmore University Consider in Evaluating Teaching Effectiveness: Lessons for Higher Education Management” has been selected for publishing after peer review in the International journal of Research in Social Sciences.

The paper was part of Mr. Bett’s thesis in fulfilling requirements for Master of Science in Education Management studies, and was supervised by Dr. Everlyne Makhanu. The paper sought to examine important factors considered by students in the process of evaluating teaching effectiveness at Strathmore University.


Dr. Everlyne Makhanu is a doctorate holder in area of Education Management from University of South Africa (UNISA), Masters in Education as well as Bachelor in Education.  Her research interests and work have been in teaching technologies. She is currently the Academic Director at @iLabAfrica, Safaricom Academy and a lecturer in Strathmore University.

Mr. Harry Bett is a Graduate teaching assistant in School of Humanities and Social Sciences. He has a Bachelor of Education in English and Literature from Moi University, Kenya, and is awaiting the award of Master of Science in Educational Management from Strathmore University, Kenya. He is attached to the Strathmore Writing Centre.
