Dr Freshia Waweru voted to give the Last Lecture 2014

Dr Freshia Waweru won the vote to give the 4th Last Lecture. An initiative of the office of the Dean of Students, this is the last lecture that the final year students receive at the end of their study period in the university. After attending hundreds of lectures over the four-year period, the Last Lecture caps it all. It’s a symbolic end to undergraduate university lectures. It’s a celebration of the lecturers at Strathmore University.

However, unlike the usual lectures, the students get to vote for who is to give them this Last Lecture.

The speaker at the Last lecture is voted from a list of nominees. This lecture is delivered after the end of second semester classes before the final examinations begin, and this year it will be on Wednesday 26th February. While voting, the class of 2014 asked Dr Waweru to talk on many things, including; Professionalism at work, How to make choices in life, Life after school, Marriage and work-life balance and what to do first after school. Come and listen to Dr Waweru speak on your choice topic.

Though the lecture is for the finalists of 2014, anyone interested is most welcome for free.

The lecture will be held in the auditorium at 5.00pm on Wednesday 26th February 2014 and thereafter the lecturer will host the fourth years to a tea reception.
