COP Receives Donations for Lodwar

Having fundraised more than 200,000 through numerous carwash campaigns, sale of t-shirts and old newspapers, our journey to Lodwar is a week away.  Themed: “From Physical Nourishment to Academic Empowerment” our planned Lodwar visit aims to empower young students in Lodwar to belief that their current circumstance, should not define their ultimate donation.

Supporting us into making this experience have a greater outcome is Chandaria Industries Limited, who donated 15,872 RosyGirl sanitary pads, in support of Turkana Girls. The supply would support each of the 331 students for two terms, curbing the normal occurrence of young girls missing school because of their monthly cycle.

Our deepest gratitude goes to the Chandaria Industries, ably represented by their Brand Manager Ms. Margaret Ranji, and one of our very own, Adil Sorathia (Bcom Third Year) who set up the entire connection.

Jetlak Foods Limited, manufactures of Waba mineral water and Fruitville drinks, also anchored our Lodwar initiative by donating 20 cases of water and 10 cases of Fruitville juice, to ensure that no member of the team is dehydrated as they serve the Lodwar residents. The donation ascertained our well-being in Lodwar, providing comfort that no heat set upon us, shall prosper.

Thank you to Mr.Dinesh Pindolia of Jetlak Foods Limited, for your hefty and timely donation.

The COP Lodwar donations campaign is ongoing until 23rd October 2013. There is nothing to little or too small that is given by a cheerful heart that cannot curve a smile.
