Celebrating SOA@50 in the Month of October

Strathmore School of Accountancy (SOA) is proud to be celebrating 50 years of Accountancy and Excellence this year.
SOA, in conjunction with the Alumni office, has put together a series of events to celebrate the greatly achieved milestone. In the month of October, the following events took place;
SOA Graduating Class of 2017 Cocktail
The series of celebration events began with a cocktail event for the graduating class of 2017 where students reminisced on their school days.
The Guest of Honour, Mr. Anthony Ndegwa – an alumnus and a former lecturer at SOA- took time to enlighten graduands on what to expect as they join the professional world. He cited examples from his experiences, which served as practical lessons to the class.
The Director of Advancement and External Relations office, Mr. Eric Saulo, also engaged with the young minds on the perks and favors of joining the Strathmore University Alumni network, assuring them that the alumni relations office was ever at their service.
Students @50 Flash Mob
To continue with the series of events, an SOA@50 flash mob event brought Strathmore fraternity to a standstill.
On 23rd October 2017, an invitation was sent out to staff and students of the university to join in on the SOA celebrations in a stunning performance featuring the talented Bruz Newton, a Kenyan upcoming artiste. Students also danced to famous tunes such as Bazokizo, Zigwembe and the newly released Witinesi song, after which banners were unveiled with the SOA@50 taglines for awareness.
The month of November will see more events taking place with the Gala Dinner set for 25th November, 2017, as the main event of the festivities.
The SOA@50 golden jubilee celebrations are sponsored by Royal Media Services, KASNEB, Diamond Property Merchants, KCB Bank and Ascent Capital.
