Business and career teachers undertook a training initiative that equipped them on the right skills and attitudes needed for personal finance and career development. The training that recently took place, so the select group of teachers receive knowledge and attain the right skills needed to accomplish personal finance and career development.

 

Strathmore’s School of Finance and Applied Economics (SFAE) in conjunction with Valuraha Group offered this training. Valuraha Group is founded by a Strathmore student, and is a company that focuses on providing financial literacy to students in an effort to provide the necessary skills that come with saving money for future investments through a club named; Valuraha Investment Club.

 

The teachers learnt skills in personal finance, career alignment and development, and also had the chance to interact with industry leaders. 

 

This was the first session of this kind, with intentions of follow up trainings in future. Teachers were awarded certificates on completion of the training.
