Benefits of Undertaking a CIM Course – Students Learn from Marketing Gurus

Strathmore University School of Management and Commerce(SMC) was honored to host Mr. Ian Marshall, the Head of International Relations Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), to speak to marketing students on the importance of taking the CIM course.


Mr. Marshall, outlined the various opportunities CIM graduates are exposed to, explaining the fact that the course is one of the most successful professional marketing course worldwide. He also addressed students on a range of Issues marketers currently experience, while highlighting on key solutions marketers have obtained from taking the CIM course


Also in attendance was Mr. Andrew Mutuma – Managing Director DHL Africa Express, who advised students on his highly beneficial career path that stemmed from his CIM study.


Mr. Mutuma elaborated the array of options CIM graduates experience, sensitizing on the fact that CIM helps individuals to think outside the box. During his talk, Mr. Mutuma also discussed the importance of self-branding for marketers, while highlighting the benefits of individuals thinking disruptively to gain favourable exposures.

Entry Requirements:

Student Registration is open to candidates who have any of the following qualifications:

KCSE mean grade C+ with C in Mathematics and English,

KACE with 2 subsidiary passes, and a credit pass in Mathematics and English

A professional certificate in Business Management or a relevant discipline,

Certificate equivalent to KCSE or KACE from a recognized institution
