Bachelor of commerce students of Strathmore University arrived in Vancouver Canada on 13^th July 2018 to attend the Vancouver Summer Program (VSP) 2018 at University of British Columbia.

The Vancouver Summer Program is a four-week academic program offered by various faculties (in our case Sauder Business School) at the University of British Columbia, Canada for students from cooperating universities. The program provides students with the opportunity to take two academic courses while learning about Canadian practices and culture alongside other students drawn from all over the world.

Participating students comprise of third years who met the requirements for this program including high standing overall academic grades in their Bachelor course (hence hard work always gets recognized…).

Lessan Rotich, a third year B.Com student participating in the VSP had this to say three days into the program,“One of the aspects that define me is my constant desire for challenges and experiencing new possibilities and situations so I am really excited for the possibility of experiencing a different educational system and a new culture all together in the course of this programme. I am very grateful for the opportunity to participate in this exchange programme and I will make the most of it.”

The second exchange program will be with the University of Navarra, Spain for Strathmore’s BCOM students and will run for a semester, kicking off on the 2^nd of September 2018 ending on the 23^rd Dec 2018.
