Auxiliary Vicar of Opus Dei visits Strathmore

Don Mariano Fazio, Auxiliary Vicar of Opus Dei, who works closely with Monsignor Fernando Ocáriz, Prelate of Opus Dei and Chancellor of Strathmore University, visited the University and got an opportunity to meet and interact with Members of the University Council, Management Board and Deans.
During his visit, he spoke of the importance of transmitting a spirit of service which will ensure students become professionals ready to serve society wherever they go. He emphasized that while universities play a role in solving challenges of society, their search for truth is key, especially that which touches on the truth about man. He asked the team tasked with leading the University to pray through St. John Paul II, who stood for strong principles of truth.
He further pointed out that the Christian spirit will only thrive if there is unity among staff, and between staff and students. He also urged Strathmore to be a university that is open to collaborations with other universities both locally and internationally. With these ideas, he transmitted the vision St. Josemaría Escrivá, founder of Strathmore, had for the University, and assured the entire University community of the prayers of the Chancellor and his own.
