Don’t Wait for an Opportunity, Create It – SEDC 4th Graduation

Strathmore Enterprise Development Centre (SEDC), held their 4th graduation ceremony where 79 EDP students graduated. The entrepreneurs went through a 16 -week intense training that addressed the needs of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), providing solutions to the various practical, real-life problems they typically encounter.

James Karundu – CEO Passion Biz Academy, who was the guest speaker of the day, highlighted the importance of using technology to build strategic business networks for SMEs.  He shared game-changer approaches to help SMEs build strategic, lasting and profitable networks. James also spoke on education marketing, the importance of a keep in touch strategy (K.I.T.S), and formal networking. He laid emphasis on education marketing as a way of engaging prospects and turning them into clients and that networking works best when it’s done in a deliberate, focused and organised manner. His main theme being that SMEs should not wait for opportunities to present themselves, but rather they should learn to create them.
