Strathmore University’s overarching theme for 2025, “Personalized Attention,” embodies our dedication to fostering an environment where every individual feels valued, supported, and empowered. This focus aligns seamlessly with our mission to deliver holistic, quality education within a framework of freedom and responsibility.

To bring this vision to life, we prioritize meaningful discussions that encourage growth, promote open conversations that build trust and understanding, and extend heartfelt appreciation to our alumni, who continue to inspire and shape the future.

The Alumni Relations Office at Strathmore University has long supported our alumni, offering programs designed to ensure they feel valued and connected. Initiatives such as the NorthStar Mentorship Program, the Student Transition Program, the Alumni Wellness Program, and various alumni events have fostered a strong sense of belonging.

This year, we are taking it further, rolling out exciting new events, wellness activities, and bonding sessions to strengthen our alumni network. Through these combined efforts, we aim to create a cohesive, interactive, and incisive community that advances our goals as an association.

Our Strathmore Connect platform continues to serve as a vibrant hub for global networking, professional growth, and camaraderie. To amplify its impact, we are launching engaging online campaigns and hosting webinars on emerging topics, sparking innovation and ingenuity within the alumni community. We are also expanding our reach by drawing more alumni into the “Strathmore Web” through tailored initiatives that deepen connections and foster shared success.

One of our marquee initiatives, the Alumni of the Year Award, now in its second year, celebrates excellence across expanded categories, including research, sports, community development, and business. Alumni are encouraged to submit their nominations before May 30, 2025, as we gear up for the 3rd Annual Strathmore Connect Event on October 4, 2025—a flagship celebration of inspiration and achievement where the winners will be unveiled.

Meanwhile, our Alumni Gift Shop continues to offer personalized branded merchandise that embodies the shared ideals, successes, and cherished memories of our alma mater. From a branded hoodie for casual occasions to a custom-engraved pen for a professional setting, these keepsakes are powerful symbols of identity and belonging. They serve as daily reminders of the enduring bond between alumni and Strathmore, fostering a lifelong connection to the institution.

To kick off the year, we’ll begin with our first event in February, the Alumni Hike. Following that, we’re excited to gather again in Kisumu for our second event in March. With these dynamic initiatives and offerings, we look forward to another impactful year of celebrating and empowering our alumni community.
