The School of Humanities and Social Sciences will host a Social Justice and Equity in Tertiary Education online colloquium with Edge Hill University, UK on 30th and 31st March 2021.
We operate in a context where social injustice and inequity prevail in different regions and this affects the triple mission of universities, teaching, research, and community service, including a university’s constituents. At Strathmore University we have a tradition of addressing some inequities facing societies through different activities and programmes.
We, therefore, invite you to attend the colloquium. We shall have open discussions on the presentations made by our faculty and develop north-south cross-learning experiences. At the end of our discussions, we intend to launch a Social Justice and Equity network and that will include global partners beginning with those we are in contact with.
