Call For Applications: Strathmore University School Of Tourism And Hospitality Erasmus Fellowship 2021

Background

Erasmus has granted support for over a period of 3 years for the exchange of students and lecturers between Strathmore University and Saxion University. Saxion University is a leading institution of higher education in the Netherlands with a rich history and recognized at international levels

in tourism and hospitality education. The Erasmus grant will support mobility for

students and lecturers from the two institutions to enhance the internationalization of education and international partnerships contributing to the UN SDGs worldwide. The funding will facilitate air travel, local travel, accommodation and daily stipend costs in the Netherlands for the beneficiaries.

Fellowship Objectives

  1. Enhance programme internationalization and education exchange
  2. Enhance teaching and learning competencies through knowledge sharing
  3. Promote research collaboration
  4. Encourage cross-cultural engagement

Eligibility Criteria

  • Currently registered undergraduate student at STH in their 3rd year of study.
  • An all-round student who has consistently displayed academic excellence for the last two academic years.

Selection Process

  • The applicant will be required to submit a motivational letter which should include:why you should be considered, how you will benefit from this opportunity, how you will share your experience on return and your availability to travel.
  • The applicant will need to provide a reference letter from their SU mentor
  • The shortlisted candidates will be subjected to an oral interview before the School selection panel
  • The successful candidate will receive a formal communication of the outcome Strathmore University School of Tourism and Hospitality Erasmus Fellowship 2021
