The School of Tourism and Hospitality brings you this opportunity to be part of global leadership in tourism.   • Our curriculum gives emphasis to the correlation between theory and practice through hands-on practical training and internship where you get exposed to the real world of work and interact with industry professionals and entrepreneurs.

Career options range from tourism policy and planning tourism agencies, running a tour and travel company, working in NGO's and international organizations, setting up wildlife conservancy and eco-lodges, to venturing into business start-up of deve- loping tourist destinations that abound in Kenya and in neighboring countries.

We exempt successful candidates from some of the units already done in their professional diploma in hospitality or tourism from an accredited institution.

Our evening programme runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The intake for the full-time programme is in April and June.

Intake for the evening programme exempt is May and September.

Applicants must meet the following requirement:

• KCSE aggregate grade of C+,

• 6 Credits at O level, A level 2 principal passes and 1 subsidiary

• IB minimum 30 out of 45 points.

• A distinction in the Strathmore Entrance Exam

• Proven leadership skills in school & community and outstand- ing performance in extra-curricular activities are an added advantage.

All candidates meeting the entry requirement are required to sit the University entrance examination in English and Mathematics and an oral interview.

Candidates are required to bring the following:

• Originals and copies of relevant academic certificates,

• 2 passport-size photographs.

• An original and a copy of the birth certificate or National ID or passport,

• An entrance exam fee of KES 2,000.
