The Extractives Baraza Moot Court Competition invites participants from across Kenya and Africa to argue on Mineral exploration and production issues modeled on real-life scenarios. Dissecting complex procedural and substantive issues of international, cross border disputes, mining law, environmental law, arbitration and mediation, participating students are provided with the opportunity to apply and develop their skills in the moot. The moot court competition panel draws from highly esteemed professionals from a multi-stakeholder in the field, such as judicial officers, academics and other practitioners.
iLabAfrica in partnership with Kent University will be holding a User-Led Innovation Camp, 12th June 2019 for Stakeholders and 13th June 2019 for PhD students. The aim of the workshop is to bring together stakeholders and PhD scholars to brainstorm and enhance the potential of innovations targeted at consumers living in poverty, by developing a collective understanding about barriers to adoption and usage of innovative products and services.
