Master of Science in Computer-Based Information Systems (MSc.CIS)

The Master of Science in Computer-Based Information Systems (MSc.CIS) programme prepares candidates to become specialists in the Information Technology (IT) needs of modern businesses, especially at the middle and senior levels of organisations. It is designed to meet the increasing demand in the work place for IT professionals with a wide range of technical skills and the capacity to offer support in the implementation of IT-based solutions in a business environment.

Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)

Diploma in Business Information Technology (Dip.BIT)

The Diploma in Business Information Technology (Dip.BIT) programme prepares candidates to become specialists in the Information Technology needs of modern businesses, especially at the middle levels of organisations. is designed to meet the increasing demand in the work for IT professionals with a wide knowledge of business management, technical skills and the capacity to offer support in the implementation of IT-based solutions in a business environment.

Diploma in Leadership & Management

The Diploma in Leadership and Management (DLM) prepares you to work in middle management, administration, enterprise development, consultancy, and other related fields. The curriculum develops your leadership capabilities by assessing and expanding your management skills. The course focuses on exploring and understanding contemporary management and leadership issues and lays emphasis on action, observation, analysis and reflection, thereby offering you the participant a unique opportunity to apply what you learn to your job.

Professional Courses

Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

To qualify as a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), you will have to demonstrate that in addition to passing the examinations, you have met the ACCA's practical experience requirements. Both forms of assessment focus on your ability to satisfy the technical, managerial, interpersonal and ethical requirements of the role of professional accountants.

Certified Public Accountant Course (CPA)

The Certified Public Accountant (CPA) course provides a basis for professional careers such as Accounting, Auditing, Finance Management, Tax Management and Consultancy. If one wishes to pursue a career as a professional accountant the CPA course is the first step towards a master's or other higher degrees in reputable universities, especially in the United Kingdom.

Certified Financial Analyst (CFA)

The CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst®) designation is an internationally respected professional designation conferred by the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR®). The program’s professional conduct requirements demand that both CFA candidates and charter holders adhere to the highest standards of ethical responsibility. Upholding ethical standards are as much part of holding the CFA® designation as passing the examinations. Adherence to these standards fosters confidence and trust among clients, employers, and regulators.

Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

The standard test of a profession is the way it extends the boundaries of knowledge and understanding in its area of expertise and also the value and recognition it bestows on the individual who achieves it. Since 1978, the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) program, sponsored by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), has been the globally accepted standard of achievement among information systems (IS) audit, control and security professionals.

Cisco Networking Academy Program

The Cisco Networking Academy Program is a comprehensive e-learning program that provides students with the Internet technology skills essential in a global economy. The Networking Academy delivers web-based content, online assessment, student performance tracking, hands-on labs, instructor training and support, and preparation for industry standard certifications.

SWAMI Programme

In 2003 WOCCU, in partnership with Strathmore University, launched a pilot training program for SACCO managers and volunteers. While the program’s initial year was successful at covering costs to run the program, both WOCCU and Strathmore determined that the program needed to offer courses geared to two different audiences: managers who require intensive hands-on experience and elected board officials involved with SACCO operations on a general level.
